At checkout your fans can choose to add TicketPlan refund protection. If they later cannot attend for a covered reason, illness, injury, jury duty, transport disruption and more, they claim the ticket price back directly from TicketPlan. It is optional, never pre-ticked, and the premium is handled separately so your own payout is unaffected.

Buyers decide at checkout whether to add protection. Nothing is pre-selected, in line with UK consumer rules, and the covered reasons and exclusions are shown clearly before they pay.
Your payout is never touched
The protection premium is collected and settled separately with TicketPlan. Your ticket revenue still lands directly in your own Stripe or PayPal account, with zero commission.
Fans claim directly, hands-off for you
If a fan cannot attend, they apply to TicketPlan using the reference on their confirmation. You are not the one issuing the refund or fielding the request. It is administered by TicketPlan and is not insurance.
On by default, yours to control
Protection is offered automatically on eligible paid events, and you can switch it off per event whenever you want. You stay in control of what your fans are offered.
How it works
Fan reaches checkout
On any eligible paid event, the fan is offered optional refund protection with a clear price and the covered reasons and exclusions.
Fan chooses
They explicitly opt in or out. Nothing is pre-ticked. If they decline, they simply pay face value as normal.
Policy is registered
When they opt in, the policy is registered with TicketPlan automatically and the reference is shown on their confirmation.
They claim directly
If they later cannot attend for a covered reason, they apply to TicketPlan for a refund of the ticket price. No action needed from you.
Offer your fans refund protection
It is on by default at checkout, you can disable it per event, and the premium never touches your payout. Zero booking fees, zero commission.
