tickts vs TryBooking
TryBooking is a solid UK platform with honest, simple pricing: 5% + 20p per paid ticket when it takes the payment, or 75p a ticket plus Stripe's fee when you connect your own Stripe, VAT included either way. tickts charges no ticket fee and no commission on any plan. The only cost is Stripe's card fee, and every sale lands in your own account.
The real cost of TryBooking
TryBooking offers two ways to take payment. If TryBooking handles it, you pay 5% processing plus 20p per ticket, VAT included. If you connect your own Stripe, you pay 75p per ticket plus Stripe's own fee of 1.5% + 20p. Free events are free on both. On tickts the only cost is Stripe's card fee of 1.5% + 20p, which comes out of the ticket price.

Why organisers switch to tickts
No fee per ticket at all
TryBooking's pricing is fair and clearly published, and there is still a fee on every paid ticket: 5% + 20p, or 75p on your own Stripe. tickts has none on any plan. On 300 tickets at £25, that is £435 that stays with you, less the card fee you would pay anywhere.
Your own Stripe, free
On TryBooking, money goes straight to your own Stripe on the 75p-a-ticket option. On tickts that is how every sale works, at no extra cost, from the first ticket.
Nothing passed on to your buyers
TryBooking lets you pass its fees on to attendees at checkout. tickts never adds a booking fee, so the price on your poster is the price your audience pays.
Optional refund protection for fans
At checkout your fans can add TicketPlan refund protection and claim the ticket price back if they cannot attend for a covered reason. It is optional, never pre-ticked, and the premium never touches your payout.
